Social Sundays: End of Year, Summer Days and New Ideas

End of Year:  My one piece of advice for the end of the year is to not to let it escape without meaning.  The end of the year is your last chance to make an impression on your students' futures.  Make it count!  Here are some of my favorite ways to end the year as well as teacher-saving tips for making next year easier today:

Summer Days: This summer I will polishing off some new curriculum for next year including AP government as well as taking many long days to play.  The summer is a precious commodity to rejuvenate.  I can't wait to read some new books and enjoy the tastes of the season.  For a little inspiration for your own summer, check out some of my favorite historical fiction and non-fiction, best reads, and ideas for ways to rejuvenate in the summer.

Preview of Social Sundays 2018-2019:  Many of you participated in the Thank You giveaway a couple of weeks ago and generously told me what you would value reading about.  With your comments in mind, Social Sundays will largely feature ideas for teaching specific topics and units as well as ideas that can be used across topics.

If there is a specific topic or unit that you would like more ideas for teaching, let me know in the comments section below.  AND if you can't wait until next year, you can read posts on the following topics already on the blog:

I wish everyone a restful and happy summer!  See you in August.
