I can't believe it is already the last Social Sunday of the year. It has been a great year. I have "met" an amazing group of teachers, been inspired by students daily, and been thankful to share a little of what I have learned and learned from all of you.
I have received so much this year and so it seems only fitting to end the year by giving back to you.
First, I am thrilled to be join fellow teacher-authors in a "Day of Giving Back." Today, Sunday, December 13th, I will be giving all proceeds from sales at my TPT store to a charity of my choice. I selected R.A.F.T. to receive my funds from today's sales.
R.A.F.T. merges two of my great passions: hands-on education and the environment. R.A.F.T. collects found materials, donations from companies, and more of just "stuff." They have a huge warehouse of items available to teachers at next to nothing. They also have free lesson plans on how to use resources. I love, too, that by reusing all these materials that would otherwise end up in landfills, the environment will be a little better taken care of.
If you are feeling generous, pop on over to the store and get a little something for your classroom today knowing that your purchase will be supporting other teachers as well. It's a win-win all around. (Link below to all the sellers participating).
Second, in honor of 479 followers, I am hosting a giveaway. Everyone gets a free product AND a chance to win a $25 gift card for TPT. I realize that most people choose numbers such as 100, 500, or 1,000 but as a social studies AND math teacher, I find it only fitting to select a prime number as my milestone.
To enter, simply enter your email under the free product you would like to receive. You may select either the:
Comic Book Social Studies Project or
Logic Puzzles for Winter.
Giveaway ends Tuesday, December 15th. The winner of the $25 TPT gift card will be announced on the blog December 17th. And remember, everyone who enters gets one of the two free products. This is my gift to you!
a Rafflecopter giveaway
Have a wonderful holiday. See you back here January 3, 2016!

AWESOME! I love seeing what charities others have chosen to donate to. I haven't heard of quite a few of these
