Increased revenue may mean more money for CA schools

The Legislative Anaylst's Office of California recently reported that there is an extra $2 billion more revenue coming in this year from property and other taxes.  The good news is that much of this money may go to California's K12 schools and community colleges which have weathered many years of budget cuts and unstable budgets over the past decade.

It will be good to see:
  1. If the schools get the extra funds?
  2. What they do with it?
After all, extra money is helpful, but the way in which is the money used to serve students best is ultimately the most important.
